Doing What We Love!
"We are shaped and fashioned by what we love."-Goethe
The holiday season and the beginning of a new year give us time to reflect upon our lives and what we love!
During my holiday, I found great joy in seeing friends at parties and having family over for the holidays. Though, I was saddened by some family and friends missing this year, the illness of my 10-year old cat, "Buddy," and the more-than-once inconvenience of failed plumbing.
Upon reflection, I see my life has certainly been shaped by the things I love:
- Learning (my mom recently reminded me about how I enjoyed reading encyclopedias as a young girl).
- Being Mobile (I give great thanks to having a car and being able to go!)
- My Family (I am fortunate to be from "really nice people"!)
- Aesthetics & Order (what a great feeling to get something looking balanced and organized!)
- Being Healthy (I really enjoy feeling good!)
- Meeting People (I enjoy learning about what other people love!)
- Executing Ideas (nothing like working in a team, making accomplishments)
- Making Money (can one ever have too many shoes or take their daughters on too many shopping trips?)
It's a good time for us to consider what we love and make sure our mind recognizes the connections we want to make.
